$PLTR Palantir Technologies - Insights from AIPCon 3
Tight on the heels of the news of the TITAN award yesterday, $PLTR hosted the third AIPCon today.
We saw some amazing proofs of concept, deployment, and value here.
First, one of my favorites from Alex Karp today on Bloomberg: "We're gonna show you what happens in 4-6 hours as opposed to what happened in your enterprise in the last several years."
So, what solutions are these companies building using Palantir Foundry & AIP?
1. Panasonic Energy of North America, the company manufacturing the battery cells for $TSLA Tesla at the NV Gigafactory:
They are using mixed reality and the Palantir ontology to enable technicians to solve problems associated with the hundreds of machines on their production floor.
They are integrating augmented-reality headsets to allow technicians in the factory to work alongside a copilot to troubleshoot problems. The copilot can autonomously place flashing red icons next to issue items.
Their project, "ATOM", also appears to have predictive features, allowing it to forecast problems with the machines on the floor in the future.
Some more tidbits: "three to six-month learning curve down to just a few weeks"
"One of the most extraordinary projects of my career"
They are building an "intelligent Execution" system called "ELF": ELF is their tool for automating operational decisions.
The success is compelling. Some tidbits from the demo: "Every day, in real-time ... is taking a look at over 3000 orders ... and making recommendations automatically"
"Over 70% of the recommendations are accepted" He also states that they are close to complete turnover of most decisions to the system.
"We were able to build this system in just a couple of months because of Palantir"
"We're saving on average about $40,000 per day ~ $14M annually"
3. Lowe's $LOW using Foundry/AIP to build a digital twin:
They are using Foundry/AIP to build a data ontology and save time for agents across the enterprise.
Some tidbits: "75% reduction in overdue activities" "15 minutes per agent per day saved in daily set up"
Huge growth in active users MoM for their solution.
"Palantir has made us faster and smarter in general"
"The business itself couldn't believe how fast we were able to do this"
4. We also saw demos from Lennar, CSX, CAZ, and others. All with impressive use-cases of the tech.
5. We also got more details on the bootcamps being hosted by Palantir for prospective customers:
"We've seen how quickly they build the intuition and the experience to outpace even us"
"We have so many ideas, and we want to move faster"
"We've been building solutions to support our customers’ solutions from initial idea to deployment"
Presenter Jack Dobson showed a use case where they literally dropped a white board drawing into AIP and the system built the solution itself"
He then had generated solution designs, directly injected into the digital twin. They jumped straight into deployment.
"This is going from an idea to a use-case in a matter of seconds"
He also talked about the marketplace, saying there are use cases ready to deploy to enterprises TODAY.
They are even using AIP to model and schedule the entire AIPCon conference! (I love to see internal use of products, it means the employees across the board enjoy it as much as the customers)
